The PaPCo core package has been written with portability in mind. It was developed and extensively tested under UNIX. All PaPCo functionality is only guaranteed to work fully under UNIX at this stage.
To date PaPCo core has been further run under VMS and Windows 95. Experience on these platforms is still limited and unforeseen problems might still occur. Expect all PaPCo core functions except the get remote data facility to work on these platforms.
Portability of PaPCo modules is up to the module authors. Older modules are only supported under UNIX, modules written from this version onwards can make use of the new portability features.
